Quenching System for Gas Cleaning

The Quenching System was designed, supplied and built by Coppex - Fleck - Ocegtel. It has a capacity of cooling and washing up to 85,000 Nm3/h of metalurgical gases from the Copper Smelter.

This system complements an existing gas cleaning section, with the target of improving the operation of the cleaning area and to concentrate the liquid effluents.

The project consists of a quenching tower with it's acid-proof lining, a separate FRP retention tower, an FRP pump tank, centrifugal recirculation pumps, nozzles for solution injection, piping system and the complete control system for the plant.

Coppex can also design and supply components for wet gas cleaning systems or complete systems.
